We were proud to partner with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to ideate and bring to life a powerful film: Breaking Barriers for Women in Business.
The film celebrates four women entrepreneurs — Dusanka, Assel, Majdouline, and Vica — from different backgrounds and contexts, each on her own journey to build a business.
Led by an all-female creative team, the shared vision behind the project was to amplify stories of resilience, unlock new narratives for women’s economic empowerment, and catalyse meaningful conversations around gender equality in business.
Shortly after its launch, the film received critical acclaim, winning a silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate and Documentary Film Awards.
A testament to the power of storytelling and representation, this project reflects Toast’s ongoing commitment to crafting purposeful films that move audiences - and drive change.
